Recor in land sale

Recor Holdings says it has agreed to sell six parcels of vacant land on the mainland to two independent third parties for a total of 35.9 million yuan (about HK$33.41 million) to fully offset outstanding amounts owed to the two parties.

Recor announces new chief

Electronics manufacturer and distributor Recor Holdings said its financial restructuring which brings in a new controlling shareholder has been completed. Following the move, Siu Man Pau and Siu Man Piu, through their company Hoverton, hold 52.46 per cent of the enlarged share capital of the company. Siu Man Pau will become chairman of the company.

Recor looks to restructure plan

Consumer electronics firm Recor Holdings said it had contacted some of its creditors to postpone until April 30 the expiry dates of some of the conditions of its restructuring plan. The firm said a prospectus containing details of its latest proposed restructuring plan was being dispatched. Recor said it needed the extensions in order to fulfil the present restructuring timetable.

Recor slumps further

Audio and visual equipment manufacturer Recor Holdings has recorded a hefty attributable loss of $124.79 million for the year to March 31, up from the $1.16 million loss it made the previous year. The firm blamed sluggish market conditions in the United States and Europe.

THE market recession and macro-economic measures in China were blamed for a 79.4 per cent plunge in attributable profits for shareholders of audio-visual maker Recor Holdings.

Profits fell to $6.2 million from $30.09 million in six months ended September 30. .

Improving sales give Recor a lift

AUDIO-VISUAL products maker Recor Holdings has posted profits of $67.65 million for the year to March, up 20.6 per cent from a year earlier.

The company said product diversification and a rise in the sales of audio and visual products contributed to the profit rise.

Recor profits rise 41pc

AUDIO-VISUAL products maker Recor Holdings has posted a 41.1 per cent increase in profit to $30.09 million for the six months to September 30.

Turnover rose 13.8 per cent, from $543.22 million to $618.24 million. No interim dividend was recommended.

Recor shares in demand

NEW listing Recor Holdings was 6.3 times subscribed at the close of applications for new shares on Thursday September 30.

A statement issued last night said 458 valid applications for 544.14 million shares were received from the public. In total 96 million shares at $1.16 each were being issued.
