Celebrate in Hong Kong

A range of activities will be held this Sunday at Wat Makthumvanaram (Thai temple, 51 Pun Chun Yuen Tsuen, Tai Wo, 2653 6758) for Queen Sirikit's birthday today. The activities are scheduled to coincide with the holiday of Thai migrant workers in the city, but all are welcome to join.

Fertile imagination fires bizarre temple

COLOURFUL in the literal sense of the word it may not be, but bizarre - most definitely. All the statues have that dull sameness of grey, the smaller ones cast in cement while the larger ones are built from brick with the same grey cement veneer.
