A suicide attempt with a twist unfolded at Guangzhou's Haizhu Bridge when a potential jumper was pushed off by an onlooker.

The oldest crossing of the Pearl River in the city is also its most popular suicide spot. On Thursday morning, traffic was stopped for five hours by a man who scaled the bridge and said he was going to jump.
