Should Hong Kong's water tariffs, which have remained the same since 1995, be raised?

Kevin Choi - I think that the tariff system should be changed. People who use more water should be charged at a higher price per litre than people who use less water. I believe that this can solve the problem of people using too much water.

Writer won't give up on ideals

Popular mainland writer Li Chengpeng, who had earlier announced that he would run for a seat in his local legislature as an independent candidate, said yesterday that official pressure had not suppressed his ideals.

Members of legislative bodies on the mainland are normally nominated by local party organs, and independent candidates are rare.

Heavenly words on real meaning of love and life

Everyone has a dream. When I was young, I wanted to be an angel so I could bring peace and happiness to the world.

However, as I grew up, I no longer had such a naive dream. I came to realise the world was filled with jealousy and competition. People wear a mask to cover up their real character.
