Security guard, 65, dies in building plunge after being told to retire

A 65-year-old man plunged to his death from a Tsuen Wan building after he was told he would have to retire later this month.

Yau Cheung-him, father of a 16-year-old boy, was found lying outside a block in Riviera Gardens Estate in Yi Lok Street. He had worked as a security guard in the estate for about six years.

Body of girl identified

A 14-YEAR-OLD girl, murdered when she was dragged along the ground and run over by a vehicle in Tsing Yi, was last night identified as Ho Wing-sze.

Wing-sze was last seen at about 9 pm on Sunday as she left a flat in Riviera Gardens near Tsing Yi Bridge. Her partially-naked, battered body was discovered in a container truck park later that night.

THE owner of two car park spaces in Tsuen Wan is being sued for gazumping. It is alleged he increased the price from $435,000 to $660,000 after signing a provisional sales agreement and accepting a deposit. The Supreme Court writ said Cheng Chi-yam, the registered owner of the property at Riviera Gardens, entered the agreement with Tsang Ying-wai last December 30.

Drugs raid nets former policeman

A FORMER policeman was among three people arrested for drug trafficking by east Kowloon detectives on Thursday night.

Two men and a woman aged between 22 and 33 were stopped at Wing Shun Street, Tsuen Wan, at 10 pm after a month of surveillance.
