Hong Kong's science supremos

Form one students Lam Ka-mei, 13, and Li Wan-sze, 14, have discovered that a little determination can lead to big rewards. The two girls from Carmel Divine Grace Foundation Secondary School have clinched the first runners-up prize in the design category of this year's Hong Kong Robot Olympics.

Football of wheels

Young computer whiz-kids from Hong Kong and the mainland will battle it out in a hi-tech football match in Henan province. Their goal is a place in the finals of a prestigious competition in Japan.

Six local teams will take on mainland students, with a place in July's Ninth Robocup Junior 2005 at stake.
