All's well that ends well - but only just

Given that there has been three days since the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, the most anticipated, watched or assessed race in history, the likelihood of the next thousand words offering something on Black Caviar which has not already been tweeted, twisted, blogged, bludgeoned, broadcast, crafted or crammed into the racing world's consciousness is probably low.

'Caviar pulled up injured'

Champion mare Black Caviar has suffered two muscle tears and severe bruising to her hind quarters in her famous win in the Group One Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Trainer Peter Moody confirmed Black Caviar had pulled up sore after her narrow win.

How long have you been in the caviar business? 'I've been in the trade since 1995 and my job is to find the best. We sell to some of the biggest and best hotels and chefs. I travel all over to find the top farms- to China, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Germany, [North] America, South America, even the Middle East. We don't really have wild caviar anymore.
