Mainland censors shut down pair of websites

Another mainland website has fallen foul of the censors, having its domain name terminated after it ran a public opinion poll on holding competitive elections for the general secretary of the Communist Party.

Lu Guanghui , founder of China Consultation Net, said he was told by officials from Changde , Hunan province , where he lives, that the website was shut down.

Pointless fuzzy bits

Please enlighten me Hong Kong censors, as to why you do not consider your citizens mature enough to view the uncensored version of The Human Body on Discovery Channel at 10pm every Wednesday.

This documentary is of an undisputed, world-class standard, with superb filming of the developing foetus marred only by our censors placing fuzzy bits over the pregnant woman's body.

Watching ATV's news on July 30, I believe I may have the answer to the spate of recent problems faced by the two local train corporations. ATV's graphic revealed that one of the 'censors' positioned on the KCR track suffered a malfunction, thus allowing the automatic doors to open on both sides of the train at one station.

PUBLIC views on film standards are to be sought, and evening viewing sessions for classifications introduced, it was announced yesterday.
