Dogs pose danger in garden

Recently, a rock garden with waterfall and plants was constructed in Gloucester Road next to the beginning of Canal Road flyover (diagonally opposite Elizabeth House). It is apparent a lot of effort has been put into constructing the same. The authorities are to be complimented for providing this small but beautiful spot for people to take their children to enjoy.

Dog days

A YOUNG couple were accused by security men of stealing a guard dog in Park Lane Square after they untied a Rottweiler and played with him for 30 minutes. The pair said they felt sorry for the fettered animal. Police at Tsim Sha Tsui did not lay charges against the couple.

Dog bites inspector

AN RSPCA inspector was bitten by a 45-kilogram Rottweiler when he tried to untie the dog from a railing in Choi Wan Estate. Assistant inspector Dennis Chu Sun-yung was attempting to take the abandoned animal to the RSPCA's Ho Man Tin kennel.

Mr Chu was treated at hospital and discharged. The dog was taken to the government kennel in Sung Wong Toi for an examination.

Streets scoured for savage dog

DOG inspectors were last night scouring the Western area of Hong Kong Island for a Rottweiler dog that attacked a man walking there early on Tuesday morning.

A team of six Agriculture and Fisheries Department officials drove around the Catchick and Smithfield street area in Kennedy Town, looking for the dog and its owner, said senior veterinary officer, Dr Liu Kwei-kin.

Dog bite victim says animal could be killer

A MAN mauled by a Rottweiler in Western and left bleeding in the street after the owner fled with the dog fears the animal could kill.

Richard O'Brien appealed for any witnesses, including a young couple who saw him from a nearby shop, to come forward.
