Launch night at cinema in IFC Mall throws monkeys, Jim Carrey and penguins into mix

Belgian accessories brand Kipling channelled something cinematic for the launch of its new bag collection at the Broadway cinema in Central's IFC Mall.

The company invited guests to the preview inside the cinema on Thursday, and organised a screening of Jim Carrey's comeback comedy Mr Popper's Penguins.

The satisfaction of planting melons

Recently I planted some melons on a farm. It was very hot and I was there for several hours. When I got there, I wanted to leave right away because there were so many insects. It was also hard work thrusting bamboo into the soil and it required a lot of strength to construct a trellis for the melons.

Accessory brand Kipling invited the Girls From Omsk to Hong Kong this week. For those unfamiliar with European street style, Girls From Omsk are a pair of Belgian designers. The bag brand recruited them to collaborate on a hip spring collection. Incidentally, one of them isn't even a girl.
