Doubles win a Games fillip for HK

Hong Kong's Tang Peng and Jiang Tianyi received a boost ahead of the Asian Games, winning the men's doubles title at the Austrian Open on Sunday. They beat Jeong Sang-eun and Ryu Seung-min of South Korea 11-3, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9 in their first Pro Tour final since arriving in Hong Kong in 2005.

Wang emerges from shadows

China's Wang Hao has recovered from the disappointment of Athens 2004, where he lost in the final, to become the world's top-ranked table tennis player.

Four years ago, Wang was denied the Olympic gold medal by South Korea's Ryu Seung-min. It was a shock result since Wang was the overwhelming favourite for the title.
