Baltic transporter bankrupt

Baltic Sea Shipping, Russia's only fleet transport company in the Baltic Sea, has been declared bankrupt by the St Petersburg regional arbitration court, reports say.

Baltic Sea, which owes about US$420 million to creditors outside Russia and about $97.3 million to creditors in Russia, will be able to delay repaying creditors for 18 months as a result of the decision.
