Retail sales buoyed by brighter economy

Electronics, cars and furniture topped people's shopping lists in November as retail sales grew in value by 7.4 per cent year on year to about HK$17 billion, the government said.

This was a slight improvement on October's 7 per cent growth.

A government spokesman attributed the sales growth to the brighter employment outlook and wage growth.
