Gays' protest does not advance their cause

It is no surprise that the methods adopted by Sunday's gay rights demonstrators have been roundly condemned, including by other groups advocating greater acceptance of gays in society. The eight protesters disrupted a Catholic Mass in order to declare their opposition to a recent Vatican proclamation against gay marriage and adoptions.

Court's decision has implications for SAR

A ruling by a three-judge panel at Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Toronto, Canada, on July 12, declared that any restrictions on same-sex marriage are unconstitutional and that the Province of Ontario and federal government legislatures have up to 24 months to amend marriage laws.

This news will affect Hong Kong.
