More than just sand castles

The beach town of Fulong will host its annual Beach Sand Sculpture Festival from May 5 to June 24.

Sand sculptures welcome 2000

Hundreds of sculptors and spectators showed up at the Hong Kong Sand Sculpture Competition-cum- Beach Carnival at Shek O Main Beach. The contest was open to teams of two to six members.

Celebrating the millennium with signatures in the sand

Students are invited to join the Hong Kong Sand Sculpture Competition-cum-Beach Carnival, to be held at Shek O Main Beach from 1 pm to 5 pm on October 31.

Co-organised by the Provisional Urban Council (PUC) and the the Southern District Recreation and Sports Council, the contest is one of PUC's millennium celebration activities.

Sculpturing fun in the sun

HUNDREDS of sand sculptors and holiday makers packed the Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung where the Sand Sculpture Competition was held recently.

Among them were 70 local sand sculpture teams which demonstrated their creativity and skills by making sand castles or other creations.

Wong Tai Sin's three ingredients of success

WONG TAI SIN District Junior Police Call has again proved that close co-operation, lots of preparation and experience are the key to success in open competitions.

The district's six-member sand sculpture team recently netted the two top prizes in the 1993 Sand Sculpture Competition organised by the Regional Council at Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung.
