Bank robbery

TWO men and two women, one of them armed with a pistol, robbed the Bank of East Asia in Mongkok and escaped with $20,000 yesterday. Police said the robbers spoke with mainland accents.

Police took wrong approach

AFTER last Wednesday's armed robbery of a jewellery shop in Swire House, Central, police conducted sweeps of nearby buildings. However, in the midst of terrorised commuters, shoppers and curious crowds, the police were not doing much to calm anyone down.

Robbers in $180,000 haul

FOUR armed robbers escaped with $200,000 after holding up a Sha Tin karaoke bar early this morning. They tied up 40 people in the bar and fired one shot before escaping. Police said no one was injured.
