College silent over class reduction

Wah Yan College in Kowloon refused to say yesterday if it would join the government's voluntary class reduction scheme aimed at stopping school closures. After a board meeting, school supervisor the Reverend Stephen Chow declined to say whether they voted to join. The deadline for joining the scheme is Friday and more than 100 schools said they would take part.

Parents turn judges at sports meet

THE 13th athletic meet of Holm Glad College was held at the Kowloon Sports Ground recently.

As in previous years, a lot of students took part in the different events. Some also served as helpers in refereeing work.

Many new records were set at this year's meet, with Ai House emerging as the overall champions.

Gregory leap ahead in House dash

OVER 300 students took part in the 10th annual sports day of Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No 2, held over two days at Wong Chuk Hang Sports Ground.

The heats were held on the first day, and the finals took place three days later.

Hard training reaps record harvest at meet

SPORTSMEN of the SKH Tsoi Kung Po Secondary School put months of hard training to the test at the school's athletic meet, held recently at the Shamshuipo Sports Ground, Kowloon.

The competition consisted of track and field events on an inter-house basis.
