Former Chicago Bulls basketball star Scottie Pippen will not be prosecuted over an altercation with a man at a Malibu restaurant in June, prosecutors said on Tuesday, citing insufficient evidence.

NBA veteran Gary Payton encouraged aspiring players to embrace all aspects of life, not just basketball, at a press conference on Sunday. 'You are not always going to make it into basketball. You will not always be an NBA or WBNA player,' he said.

Payton said young players should keep their options open and set several goals.

Great Scottie stuns Hornets

SCOTTIE Pippen, firing on all cylinders, led the streaking Chicago Bulls to a 109-97 NBA victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

Pippen, the Bulls' biggest star since the retirement of Michael Jordan, registered his 12th career triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to pace the three-time defending champions.
