Don't forget the poor among us

I refer to the editorial 'Bankers lend a hand to good cause' (South China Morning Post, December 6). Everyone knows Hong Kong is a well-off city. But this is only on the surface. Soul Seal (CD)

Some critics have said Seal's Soul is a pointless album, that he brings nothing new to this collection of classic tracks. But it is equally easy to argue that, unless modern artists cover great songs such as the 12 found here, the now-timeless songs will eventually be lost in the ether.

System by Seal Seal (CD)

You can groove to the smooth dance rhythms and vocals of System by Seal, the British vocalist's first album after a four-year hiatus.

The scottish story: a sad tale of a man and his seal-maiden

The Scottish tale The Goodman of Wastness that Mr Tsang chose to read to children yesterday is from the folklore of the Orkney Islands, where such tales usually come with a sad ending. The most common theme in these tales is one in which a cunning young man acquires, either by trickery or theft, the skin of a 'seal-girl' from the sea.

Don't be daunted by DIY - many jobs around the house are an easy fix

Hong Kong's absence of a do-it-yourself (DIY) culture does not mean that the average person cannot take on a few small maintenance jobs. Double challenge to the letters of trust advanced as evidence

More questions were asked yesterday about two letters the Democratic Party produced as evidence two politicians gained no personal benefit from their directorships of a company owning a flat in which one of them rents office space.

The letters, which are undated, have no stamp duty seal. The signature on one also differs from that held in the Companies Registry.

Seal - Human Being

Seal - Human Being (Warner Bros) Although this is Seal's first non-eponymous album, it is probably his most personal yet. This rock/pop crooner's third album Human Being could also be his least successful - in terms of sales.
