Merchant accused of trying to kill wife

A 49-year-old merchant appeared in Sha Tin Court yesterday accused of attempted murder. Wu Ka-keung did not enter a plea. He is accused of trying to kill his wife, Kam Hiu-king, 32, on Thursday.

Merchant accused of trying to kill wife

A 49-year-old merchant appeared in Sha Tin Court yesterday accused of attempted murder. Wu Ka-keung did not enter a plea. He is accused of trying to kill his wife, Kam Hiu-king, 32, on Thursday. The incident took place in their flat in The Palazzo, Lok King Street, Sha Tin. Kam was discharged from Prince of Wales Hospital after treatment for minor injuries.

Stabbing woman may be mentally ill: police

A 64-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed her 71-year-old husband with a meat cleaver in their Sha Tin flat on Monday was suspected to be mentally ill and was receiving psychiatric treatment at Prince of Wales Hospital, police said yesterday.

Doctor to fight molestation charge

A doctor has denied he molested a patient at his clinic last year. Christopher Tong Yun-man, 30, pleaded not guilty to one charge of indecent assault yesterday in Sha Tin Court. Tong is accused of molesting a woman inside the GHC medical centre in Grandway Garden, Sha Tin, on July 13 last year. He was released on bail.

Teen receives probation for fraud

Sha Tin Court yesterday placed on a year's probation a teen who tricked a woman into giving him Disneyland passes and mobile phones by saying he could use his connections to help her husband, detained over the border. Yiu Chun-hei, 18, had pleaded guilty to five counts of obtaining property by deception from Yeung Shuet-mui, who gave him more than HK$36,000 in gifts and cash.

Trio charged over alleged rape in Sha Tin eatery

Two schoolboys were among a trio who appeared in Sha Tin Court yesterday over an alleged rape in a restaurant. Ho Ka-kit, 17, Ma Ho-kan, 16, and store assistant Kewell Li Hau-chung, 19, were charged with raping a girl in a Lek Yuen Shopping Centre eatery in April. They did not enter a plea and were remanded in custody until October 10.
