App of the week

This week, I'm reviewing not one but three apps that would be useful to triathletes. These are apps that keep gear in check.

A foot in both camps

Rupert Sanderson sits in his Mayfair showroom in London, surrounded by his autumn-winter 2012 shoe collection, and waxes poetic. 'I love the fascination; that talisman-like magic that shoes have,' he says.

On style, she rules

I saw an ad in a magazine claiming there is a brand doing a cheaper version of Touche Eclat concealer. Is it true? Can they get away with that? And where can I buy some? ;)

On style, she rules

Hello Dictator! I miss you! Sooo ... there are two Alice + Olivia 'tallulah' dresses ... One has a see-through back and the other has a white back. I'm looking for the see-through one and it seems like it is sold out everywhere! I need a sparkly holiday dress!! Please let me know if it is available in Hong Kong in size 2. I've looked all over New York and I think I am out of luck.

A shoe fit for a princess

Lord Hugh had three daughters, Fair, Brown and Trembling. All three were beautiful, but Fair and Brown felt they were not as beautiful as Trembling. They were afraid she might marry before them. Where summer styles can come to life

Hip and Hot: Colour blocking

Surveys indicate that boys prefer girls wearing 'solid colours'. They may be onto something. Solid colours scream confidence and youth. They are also 'in' during this spring/summer fashion season.

Every shade is distinct, so Shu Uemura says

The kind of girls who are constantly pining for their next dress or another pair of shoes would like Shu Uemura's new make-up collection. The Japanese brand has launched 55 new eye shadows and 30 blushers under its Colour Atelier series.

It would take a real pro to tell the difference between some of them; there are at least five shades of green and almost 10 pinks.

Dandy & Dapper

I'd like to buy a leather friendship bracelet as a gift for a pal's upcoming birthday. He's a bit of a fashion hound, so he's always happier with brand names he recognises. What do you suggest?
