Clothes ripped off shoplifting suspect at 7-Eleven store in New York

A worker at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Brooklyn, New York, was fired after he and other store employees were recorded ripping the clothes off a suspected shoplifter.

The video was recorded by a bystander and then promptly posted on the internet.

It begins with two clerks dragging the man back into the store and continues as they try to wrestle him into submission.

Police arrest suspected shoplifters

Two suspected shoplifters were apprehended outside a high-end fashion store in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday. Officers followed a man and woman after spotting them acting in a suspicious manner between Canton and Peking roads. The pair later pretended to be customers inside the Ermenegildo Zegna store at One Peking and asked for assistance from staff.

Students are shoplifting at major new shopping centres almost as soon as the malls open, and many are caught stealing in groups.

Six aid shoplifting probe

Six women arrested for a series of shoplifting offences were yesterday charged with two counts of conspiracy to steal. The six, aged between 33 and 61, who police said were members of a syndicate, will appear in Western Court today.
