Medal haul for Wong and HK

HONG Kong schoolgirl Wong Ka-li led the territory's senior girls' team to a gold medal in the Thailand Open international gymnastics event in Bangkok yesterday.

Wong, who represented Hong Kong in the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand, won four gold medals in a gymnasium lacking air conditioning and with temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius.
