China Southern orders six freighters

China Southern Airlines will boost its cargo fleet after signing a deal for a further six Boeing 777 freighters that are due for delivery between 2013 and 2015, the carrier said yesterday.

Cargo deal for JAL, Eastern

Slow, steady growth seen for air cargo

Asian economic woes will hit growth in air cargo this year as the imbalance in trade and currency exchange rates increases, according to a study by consultancy firm Avitas.

In its Global Outlook for Air Transportation report, Avitas forecast 2 per cent growth in international cargo traffic and a 2.7 per cent increase in United States domestic cargo traffic.
