Garment firm worker robbed of HK$40,000

A garment company worker was attacked and robbed after withdrawing HK$40,000 from a bank in Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The man, surnamed Singh, 37, was returning to a firm's premises at about 1pm when two men approached him from behind in a pedestrian underpass in Middle Road. He was grabbed by the neck and hit with a bottle. There was a struggle and the pair fled.

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the brewer has gone to great lengths to fly out seven official beer girls from Bangkok for a month-long promotional tour. The girls, pictured at Quarry Bay's Thai Orchids bar, are already receiving an inordinate amount of attention.

Bullets 'not involved' in fracas

A senior official of Second Division team Bullets said neither players nor supporters of his club were involved in the fracas on Tuesday night when a referee was assaulted after a game between a visiting team from India and local champions Shaheen at King's Park.
