I appreciate the articles that Ravina Shamdasani wrote regarding South Asians in Hong Kong. I am not surprised about the unemployment situation ('40pc of South Asians without work', June 9).

When I called the estate agent to get more details I was told the agent would do her best to 'convince' the landlord. She then asked my nationality.
