International exhibition gives a chance for hands-on fun

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Pottery Workshop in Central, an exhibition - Joy in Clay -

will be held from April 21 to May 5.

More than 30 students will take part in the exhibition. The show consists of art works representing different ceramic shaping techniques: hand-built, wheel-thrown, slip cast and clay sculpture.

Use of signs on a downward slope

There has been a recent proliferation of mostly useless 'slope-registration' signs. In March this year at the Open Day for Government House, I was astounded to see such a sign desecrate a beautifully manicured gently sloping lawn. The likelihood of this garden slipping is remote. In the event that it did slip, it is most definitely not a threat to the general public.
