Former England star Teddy Sheringham is unlikely to be invited back to Hong Kong's Soccer Sevens after a night of revelry that brought back memories of the infamous dentist's chair escapade of 1996.

Leicester leave their best for last at HK Soccer Sevens

Leicester City won the HKFC Citibank International Soccer Sevens for the first time yesterday when they stunned defending champions Newcastle United in the Cup final.

First-half goals from Michael Cain and Harry Panayiotou gave the Foxes a memorable 2-0 victory at Hong Kong Football Club and brought to an end Newcastle's 11-game winning streak in the tournament.

Magpies show they mean to hold on to HKFC Citibank International Soccer Sevens title

The Magpies won all three of their matches at Hong Kong Football Club, scoring nine goals without reply, to top group B. Striker Sammy Ameobi led the way with four goals.

Captain James Tavernier, an irresistible force in midfield a year ago, returns together with goalkeeper Jak Alnwick, defender Paul Dummett and midfielders Steven Logan and Bradden Inman. For goals, the Magpies will look to striker Sammy Ameobi, who has already played 19 times for the club's first team.
