A social network is an online platform or site that builds links or relations between people with shared interests or backgrounds. The most widely known and pioneering social network is Facebook, founded by Mark Zuckerberg in a Harvard dorm. The film, The Social Network, was based on Zuckerberg and the establishment of Facebook.
