Ruth House grab overall title

Ruth House captured the overall title at the 18th swimming gala of St Teresa Secondary School at Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool.

Six records were set.

Lo Yuen-ling of Form 4A netted the individual championship, while St Clare House carried off the prize for the best cheering team.

Pauline House captured the overall championship and St Clare House won the best cheering team award at St Teresa Secondary School's 21st Athletic Meet at Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground.

Competition was intense and cheering teams dressed in their house colours endeavoured to spur the competitors on.

St Clare House captured the overall title and carried off the prize for best cheering team after a day of intense competition at St Teresa Secondary School's 17th swimming gala held at the Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool.

The day was blessed with fine weather.

Fluency gets priority

Special emphasis is laid on helping students at St Teresa Secondary School to become fluent in both Chinese and English.

Speaking at the school's 18th graduation ceremony earlier this month, principal Teresa Wong cited two of the methods employed to improve understanding of English.

New rooms put an end to floating

WITH the completion of five extra classrooms which would end its ''floating class system'', the 15th anniversary of St Teresa Secondary School was made especially meaningful.

Because of the limited number of classrooms, the senior students at St Teresa have had no home-room and instead moved from room to room to attend lessons.
