Manager Tony Pulis has left Stoke after seven years in charge, the Premier League club announced.

His departure, by mutual consent, was widely anticipated following his talks on Tuesday with Stoke chairman Peter Coates.

Chelsea routed Stoke 4-0 Saturday to move into third place in the Premier League, taking advantage of Jonathan Walters’ two own goals and missed penalty kick.

Walters headed the ball into his own net on attempted clearances in the second minute of first-half stoppage time and in the 62nd minute.
