A two-day city-wide manhunt in snow-covered northeastern China ended in heartbreak and disbelief after a baby stolen along with a SUV was found murdered – and the suspected thief and murderer turned himself in.

The Toyota RAV4 SUV was reported stolen near the intersection of West Ring Road and Longhua Road in Changchun, Jilin province, China National Radio reported. The vehicle was carrying a two-month-old baby when it was reported stolen at around 7.20am on Monday.
