CEPA wants money for energy plan

HOPEWELL Holdings' Consolidated Electric Power Asia (CEPA) is seeking investment in a US$1.35 billion power project in the Philippines.

The project is partly backed by export credits from Europe and the United States.

CEPA gets Hopewell power deal

HOPEWELL Holdings says its interests in the US$1.08 billion coal-fired power plant project in Sual province in northern Philippines would be taken over by Consolidated Electric Power Asia (CEPA).

The plant would be developed by CEPA or one of its subsidiaries, a Hopewell statement said.

Hopewell nets US$2b power plant contract

HOPEWELL Holdings has won the contract to build a US$2 billion coal-fired power plant in Sual province in northern Philippines, the country's biggest power project, Energy Secretary and National Power Corp (Napocor) chairman Delfin Lazaro said.

CEPA emerges as low bid for power plant in Luzon

GORDON Wu's Consolidated Electric Power Asia (CEPA) has emerged as a low bidder on a 660 Megawatt power station at Sual in the Philippines' northern Luzon Province.

According to Mr Wu, CEPA's executive chairman, the low bid could signal a shift of placement of the dozen 660 Megawatt power generation units which had been earmarked for China.
