Where is it? You'd think an exotic island owned by a flamboyant billionaire would be hidden somewhere in the middle of an ocean. Not so for Richard Branson's latest home. Makepeace Island is a 10-minute speedboat ride along the Noosa River or a 90-minute drive from Brisbane's international airport, in the Australian state of Queensland.

Residents take dim view of tree protection

A giant billboard will be erected to block million-dollar views in one of Australia's smartest coastal towns - to shame the suspected poisoners of a stand of protected trees.

Council officials in Noosa, Queensland, believe that at least 20 trees have been killed by residents eager to improve their ocean views.
