Anyone who remotely calls themselves a comic book fan has seen them. You know, the cameos and end credit scenes in Marvel films over the past few years. The ones that teased us into believing that an ensemble film was in the pipeline.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (Film)

For the record, I never thought the original Ghost Rider was all that awful. It's an ideal film for those switch-off-your-brain-and-enjoy-the-ride moments we get now and again. You may even come away with a new admiration for daredevil bike riders.

Yet the hugely disappointing 'sequel', Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, makes the first one look a likely Oscar contender.
