Seymour returns to help arthritis sufferers

Hollywood actress Jane Seymour returned to Hong Kong this week for the first time in almost 30 years to raise awareness of the suffering caused by rheumatoid arthritis.

She spoke of her sadness at seeing the late Christopher Reeve, her friend and former Somewhere in Time co-star, who also starred in Superman, confined to a wheelchair with a spinal injury.

A fellow passenger travelling with his two young daughters leaps onto the track, pushes the man flat down into the space between the tracks and throws himself on top of him.

Invincible dads

When I was eight years old, I gave my dad a T-shirt with the Superman logo emblazoned across the chest for his birthday. The image of him wearing it as he mowed the lawn is forever etched in my mind. He was my superhero because he seemed larger than life and able to accomplish great feats I only dreamed of doing - like driving a car and hitting a golf ball 300 metres.
