Escalation of Diaoyu dispute will be bad for both nations

I refer to the report ("Beijing 'may seek legal solution'", September 15).

The article said that by "submitting 'baseline' territorial boundaries" for the Diaoyu Islands to the United Nations, China may be considering taking Japan to an international court over the sovereignty of the islands.
