French ace Jarnet gets a move on - at the double

MULTIPLE French champion Thierry Jarnet completed a tidy weekend's work when adding a double at yesterday's Sha Tin meeting to the one he rode at Happy Valley on Saturday. Jarnet scored on the Wylie Wong-trained Shaxi Treasure who landed a big and expertly executed betting coup in the opener as his odds tumbled in very late from 25-1 to 10-1 at the off.

Jarnet notches seventh winner

FRENCH champion Thierry Jarnet has had a relatively quiet time since coming to Hong Kong in mid-December but boosted his tally of winners to seven by taking the final two races yesterday.

He teamed up with long-serving trainer Lawrie Fownes to boot home Noble Dancer (10-1) in the seventh race and the gutsy grey Enthusiasm (25-1) in the nightcap.
