Treasure hunt adds to the fun for little island with a big heart

Over hill and down dale, 14 teams trekked around Lamma Island on the 8th annual Island Bar Treasure Hunt in support of Operation Santa Claus.

Lamma bar's clued-up efforts a real treasure

Ho, ho, ho and a bottle of rum - or at least a cola! There was no treasure to be had but lots of fun, at the annual Island Bar Treasure Hunt in Yung Shue Wan on Lamma Island.

It's the seventh annual hunt the bar has organised and involved teams solving 78 clues around a two-hour route on Sunday afternoon. The purse was HK$17,500 for Operation Santa Claus.

The government campaign is designed to improve environmental awareness and community spirit.

Potted plants were given away free at the ceremony.

SOMEWHERE out in the New Territories, a young shop assistant called Vivian is probably getting herself into a lather of nerves just now. You see, she knows it must soon be time for the second annual Gnok Gnoh (read it backwards) Scavenger Hunt For Charity.
