It is one of the most prestigious tournaments in world football and the biggest prize in European football. Introduced in 1992, the competition replaced the European Cup, which had run since 1955. Real Madrid are the most successful club in the competition’s history with 10 titles. Real Madrid were champions in the 2013/14 season, beating Atletico Madrid in the final.
