98pc of TV viewers watched Real Madrid match - a ratings record

This month's Real Madrid soccer game in Hong Kong shattered the local television ratings record, with 98 per cent of all viewers tuned into TVB's broadcast at one point.

TVB said yesterday that the telecast had attracted 3.3 million viewers, or 51 ratings points, during one particular minute. The rating is a record high since the existing survey method was introduced in 1991.
