Burning rubber - don't expect tyre rows to die down any time soon

Keep your fingers crossed. While those in Formula One this past week were making optimistic noises about having two races in the United States some time soon, the rest of us have been fervently hoping that there won't be a repeat of the fiasco of last year.

After the expectation, the unexpected for Shanghai

Formula One motor racing makes history today when the inaugural China Grand Prix gets under way in front of a sell-out 150,000-plus spectators at the 2.64 billion yuan Shanghai International Circuit.

Sick of this prima donna behaviour

New season off to a bumpy start

IT'S a bloody shame - there is no other way to put it. The Rothmans Williams Renault has been so good during winter testing, as near perfect as you can get it. To retire from the lead of the Brazilian Grand Prix with a broken transmission, particularly after taking pole position during a trouble-free two days of practice, was very hard to take.

New passive F1 suspension holds promise

I FEEL a bit like a dog straining at the leash at the moment. This time last year, I was apprehensive about the season because of all the pressures involved and the unknowns which lay ahead. But now that I've been there and done it, so to speak, I'm reallyvery keen to get stuck into the 1994 season.
