Veneta

In a class of his own

Fly in style - and comfort - with Dunhill's lightweight double-breasted suit (the brand's solar charger is also a handy travel companion). Luggage by Bottega Veneta never goes out of fashion and its eye masks help on those sleep-sapping long-haul flights.

Obsession: Duette bag

Bottega Veneta has launched a limited-edition bag to celebrate the opening of its seventh store in Shanghai, with only 10 pieces available in Hong Kong and 40 in the Asia-Pacific region. The Duette bag (HK$50,850) features the brand's signature interracio woven leather but with a luxe twist - it is made entirely from ostrich skin.

Soft landing

There's no such thing as an off-season any more. Bottega Veneta makes this observation in introducing its holiday-inspired designs, which include luggage, travel paraphernalia and homeware. The range has more to do with relaxation than with journeys abroad. The collection includes a magazine rack (HK$27,900) and a table lamp with an intrecciato leather base (HK$51,200).

Couch responses

'How often do you need to buy a new couch once you've found one that suits you?' asks Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier. His rhetorical question highlights the raison d'etre of the fashion brand's furniture collection, which was created to accessorise interiors the way, he says, handbags can transform an outfit.

Snappy dressers

Whoever said men look effeminate with shoulder bags obviously hasn't seen the new pocket bags from Bottega Veneta. The flat bags are practical yet stylish and are outfitted with a zip pocket. They come in crocodile and Spanish calf skin, and the safari-style khaki and olive colours go well with this summer's jungle look.
