Art walkers to get a taste of local architecture as list of events grows

An extra exhibition has been added to ArtWalk. According to organiser John Batten (right), in addition to the 55 galleries already taking part in the annual visual arts crawl through the city tonight, the last-minute attraction is an exhibition called the 'Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture' at the Central Police Station.

Arresting vision for police station project

I recently visited the Jockey Club's exhibition of its plans for the old Central Police Station complex. The exhibition is currently at the club's Happy Valley premises and will appear at City Hall, the Cultural Centre and Sha Tin Town Hall during the next two months.

Creativity flows as artworks promote heritage conservation

An art exhibition with the theme of 'Prisons' aims to promote heritage conservation in Hong Kong.

Prison Art Explore, organised by Artist Commune, features works created by about 50 students from five institutions.

They attended workshops and visited the former Victoria Prison - Hong Kong's first prison - to get inspiration for their projects.
