Argentines kill British 'terrorists' in Falklands online game

A local company has created a version of the first-person shooter video game Counter-Strike in which Argentine "police" kill British "terrorists" on the Falkland Islands. For centuries, Argentina has claimed the British-controlled, wind-swept South Atlantic archipelago as part of its territory. The islands were at the heart of a bitter 74-day war between the two countries in 1982.

While overseas video game and animation icons such as Angry Birds have successfully blended into Hong Kong products - from T-shirts to mooncakes - homegrown designers are struggling to make an impression abroad because their creations are "too local", according to licensing agents.

New York Museum of Modern Art to put video games on display

Are video games a form of art? New York's Museum of Modern Art thinks so, and starting in March several games will become an integral part of the museum's collection.

The museum, known by the acronym MoMA, has purchased 14 video games, and expects to increase its collection of games soon to 40.
