VCR seizure

VIDEO cassette recorders worth $7.6 million were seized on a China-bound lorry at the Lok Ma Chau border crossing yesterday. The 43-year-old driver of the lorry, which contained 1,398 unmanifested VCRs, was freed on $50,000 bail.

Desktop video direction good for computer buffs

WHO is the local Hongkong distributor of Gold Disk's VideoDirector? Does VideoDirector allow you to edit from VCR to VCR in addition to Videocam to VCR? I would like to produce titles for my video clips, perhaps using a drawing program. I have seen ads for these programs which convert personal computer graphics to NTSC or PAL video signals, but can cost US$2,000.

Video thefts

VIDEO recorders worth $1.3 million were stolen from a warehouse in Aberdeen. A total of 1,300 VCR players were taken from an industrial building at 3.30 pm after the raiders forced two iron grilles.
