Village chief stabbed in dispute

A New Territories village chief was stabbed by a neighbour during a dispute yesterday. Police arrested a 54-year-old in connection with the attack. Hau Kin-chai, 51, the representative of Ping Kong Tsuen, Fanling, was wounded in the thigh and abdomen outside his home just after midnight while talking to the suspect. Mr Hau was in stable condition last night in North District Hospital.
