VTech posts 42pc jump in earnings

Telephone and electronic toymaker VTech Holdings said its full-year net profit surged 42 per cent, mainly boosted by continued strong sales growth of its educational games.

Net profit for the year to March was US$182.9 million, compared with US$128 million a year earlier, with total sales up 21.5 per cent at US$1.46 billion.
