CAFE DECO BAR & GRILL Peak Galleria, 118 Peak Road. Tel: 849-5111.

IT'S easy to see why Cafe Deco at the Peak Galleria is drawing in the diners. First there's the view - from the sensational floor to ceiling windows you can see the whole of Hong Kong spread out below. Then, of course it's a new place and appeals to Hong Kong's insatiable appetite for anything novel.

CHINA MAX 11/F Times Square, Causeway Bay. Phone, 922-3798.

Walk in and you'll feel as though you've stumbled into the attic of an old-timer expat who's been taking walk-abouts in this part of the world for one decade too many.
