Ex-naval chief expelled by NPC

China's top legislature expelled former deputy naval commander Wang Shouye yesterday after confirming that the 62-year-old officer had taken bribes and kept mistresses.

'Wang Shouye was expelled on Thursday from China's national legislature on charges of economic crimes, after his mistress turned him in,' Xinhua reported.
